Guidelines
To make sure content is safe and high quality we have guidelines that must be followed.
General content guidelines
To make sure we are all on the same page regarding what can and cannot be published on Dinoframe.io we have a set of content guidelines that must be followed:
Content shouldn’t contain media that infringes on copyright or encourages users to pirate software.
No plagiarism. Only publish writing or videos you came up with, or content that you have explicit permission to publish
Any image or video made with generative AI should be labelled as originating from generative AI.
No elitism or attempts to alienate users on purpose.
Keep political content or esoteric jokes out of tutorials, Dinoframe strives to create an inclusive environment.
Creating meaningful titles
Titles are what draws people in so make sure that the title is descriptive. Say you are making a tutorial on learning JCL, "JCL tutorial" would be a bad title but "Getting started with JCL" would instantly tell the readers what level your tutorial is aimed and might also be something people would type into a google search. It's highly recommended you follow this when creating content to make sure that your content appears in search results and grabs people.
Tutorial tagging guidelines
Difficulty
Beginner:
this tutorial is for someone with little or no understanding of the subject, they may also have a low understanding of the mainframe environment, and this should be reflected in the writing of the tutorial. Accommodating low understanding of the mainframe environment can be achieved through linking to other tutorials when it references other concepts, or by explaining the concept briefly in the tutorial.
Intermediate:
this tutorial is for someone with a basic understanding of the mainframe environment, you can make basic assumptions like assuming the user knows what basic concepts like ISPF are, however their skills are not yet that broad. It’s also fair to assume that a person of this skill level understands general computing concepts and has experience such as programming.
Advanced:
this tutorial is for someone who has a broad and deep understanding of the mainframe environment, you may assume a great deal about their knowledge, and you can reference most technologies without explaining what they are.
